BURNABY, BC., November 22, 2017 - Destination Auto Group recently celebrated the Grand Opening of Destination Honda in the fast-growing Brentwood neighbourhood.
"Our expectations are that we'll continue to grow to be a community of over 52,000 people by 2041," remarked Mayor Derek Corrigan, "and this Destination Auto Group location has melded perfectly into a very urban center."
For Destination Honda, the opening marks a complete transformation of the company, including a top-to-bottom renovation, an expanded 41,000 square-foot space, and state-of-the-art service equipment. The dealership facility will also add 45 new service and sales jobs.
"We wanted to make a significant investment in the community," said Adil Ahamed, Managing Director. "We consider ourselves part of Burnaby-because Burnaby is a big part of us."
The new location features a modern 12-vehicle showroom, two "drive through" service lanes capable of serving 9 guests simultaneously, and 16 service bays outfitted with Honda's latest repair and diagnostic equipment. "The management of the Destination Auto Group recognized the fact that customer expectations are changing and saw their need to adapt to those expectations," said Dave Gardner, President of Honda Canada.
"We spent a lot of time imagining the kind of space we would want and level of customer service we would expect as guests. The end goal was to make the new facility bright and friendly-a place people would look forward to coming to." Ahamed added.
Located at
4278 Lougheed Highway at Madison, a short drive from its original location on Hastings in North Burnaby, Destination Honda is walking distance from the new Brentwood Mall, and easily accessible to Willingdon and Highway 1.
